Denny Ah-Tye

Bio: Denny is a fourth generation Californian and long-time resident of Stockton. He attended local schools and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1970. He retired in 2007 from the San Joaquin County Human Services Agency after 35 years of service.
Denny has been active in local, state and national groups whose focus has been on providing needed services to children. Throughout his career, he has served on numerous committees, advisory boards, strategic planning and advocacy groups.
He is also an accomplished artist who has for many years been part of the community art scene. Denny is primarily an abstract expressionist working in mixed media. Currently, he is again discovering photography and uses the multi images of his paintings layered digitally. His artistic eye finds him exploring collage and mixed media as he creates and expresses to the world his images.
He has had his works displayed and selected for awards with the Stockton Art League, Unitarian Art Show, Barengo Winery Art Show, and the Shima Art Gallery.
